UTC Recap and Weekend Preview: June 7, 2023

The Unified Tournament Circuit is a regional circuit for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar which covers the area between Virginia and Newfoundland. In case you missed our announcement, you can find it here.

This past weekend was a relatively light one for the UTC, with only a pair of RTT events going on as the edition winds down. You can feel things calming down a bit for 40k as we prep for the new edition.

Midgard June 2023 ITC Tournament

(Derry, NH)

10 Players made the trip to say goodbye to 9th edition with this 3-round, 32-player RTT. Cullen Burns of the US Army Esports Team took home the gold with an Ulthwe list.

YHP Alexandria June AoS RTT

(Alexandria, VA) 

This 10-player AoS RTT ran three rounds. David Klamm of Team Big Chungus took home the top spot with a Stormcast Eternals list.

Upcoming Events

Last weekend might have been quiet but this weekend is a big one, with a trio of Canadian GTs and another in Springfield, MA. Then we're running out the clock on 9th edition for the rest of the month.

June 10, 2023

• The Northern – 40k (The Pas, MB) – On the Western edge of the UTC territory is this 2nd annual GT running in Manitoba, spanning 5 rounds over two days.
• Goonhammer Open: Fal-Con –Fal-Con is Warhammer 40k Event being held in Moncton, NB, Canada June 10th-11th in conjunction with the East Coast Comic Expo. It hosts GT events for both 40k and Age of Sigmar.

• Fabricator’s Forge June RTT – 40k (Corapolis, PA) – 30-player, 3-round RTT.
• Alternate Universes June RTT – 40k (East Norriton, PA) – 24-player, 3-round RTT
• Grinning Daemon Prime – 40k (Sudbury, ON) – The Grinning Daemon Teams Tournament is a 2-day event consisting of 24 teams of 5 players competing over 5 rounds.
• June of Might and Magic – Age of Sigmar (Brooklyn, NY) – 3-round Age of Sigmar RTT
• Games N Friends June GT (Springfield, MA) – 42-player GT for 40k run over 2 days and 5 rounds using Swiss pairings.
• TJ Cafe and Games June Open War Tournament (Milford, MA) – 36-player tournament run over 3 rounds using the Open War deck.

• Farewell to 9th Edition Tournament (Selden, NY) – This 40k RTT runs 3 rounds.

June 24, 2023

• June 40k GRAND SLAM! (Brooklyn, NY) - This 40k RTT runs 3 rounds.
• Webway Games June RTT (Marlborough, MA) - This 32-player RTT runs 3 rounds.
• Tournois D'équipe d'Imperia-Lys VI (Montreal, QC) - This 14-player RTT for Warhammer 40k runs 3 rounds.
