Grand Coven GoodstuffThoughts
Tsons continue to rise, their ability to hose down C'tan and Vehicles setting them up in a strong position into a meta with plenty of both. This build is far closer to the classic Tsons lists of old, with a Vortex Beast to bait the foe out before Magnus and Rubrics go to town. Awesome to see the wizards back competing at the top of the game, fantastic work on the top placing.Borja FM - Blood Angels (Liberator Assault Group) - 2nd Place (Undefeated)

BA Mixed ArmsThoughts
Classic BA with some tanks takes a top placing, with Vindicators helping to push some additional damage through C'tan and other nasty hard targets. LAG has returned to thinking thanks to better access to hard target killing via Lance, with the general vibe of loads of mini missile units and speed carrying the army through infantry. The Rage Fuelled Captain gives you another delete button, and it's interesting seeing Rage Cursed Onslaught swapping back out for the classic option instead. Great work!Terroxer El Rojo - Thousand Sons (Grand Coven) - 3rd Place (Undefeated)

Grand Coven GoodstuffThoughts
Another non-Terminator Magnus list, this definitely makes sense in a meta where the Terminators themselves are going to struggle to trade well or weather enemy retaliation. The MSU Bow Goats give you patient scoring and denial for before you bring the Rubric hammer down - an astute choice! Excellent work on the top placing.Javier Peigneux - Chaos Space Marines (Huron’s Marauders) - 4th Place (Undefeated)

Terminator HuronThoughts
Some slight tweaks on the Huron's Marauders builds we have seen, with Terminators and Oblits giving you a few different ways to exploit returns to reserves as well as the means to strip out screens or pose a different problem via the 2+ saves. The baby Warp Talon unit is also nice here- Huron sometimes gets baited into a regrettable early commit, and here you are ensuring that you are at least not trading down for absolute chaff units. Awesome work on the top placing!Daniel HUMBOLCH - Deathwatch (Black Spear Task Force) - 5th Place (Undefeated)

Fortis / Indomitor DWThoughts
The Deathwatch uppy downy / indirect / shove Kill Teams approach continues to thrive in this meta, and sits in a really nice unique space as one of the premier relocating armies in a meta that is mainly shoving onto the circles in the middle. Fantastic work on the top placing! The Best of the Rest

Hearthband Double FortThoughts
Hearthband Votann keeps plugging away as the go-to option into a chonky meta. Double Forts gives you nice board presence with Hearthguard coming in to trouble shoot across the game with 6 inch deep strike and SUSTAINED bolstered shooting. The Kapricus / Sagitaur give you some MSU to play the early game with before things heat up. Fantastic work on the event win!Romain Chevallier - Adeptus Custodes (Talons of the Emperor) - 2nd Place (Undefeated)

AbominationThoughts
Oh I love it! An evolution to the Land Raiders that takes it's ranged output up a gear by plugging in two Caladius. This still gets to do a lot of Reactive move nonsense out of Land Raiders but now is a bit more able to go for a shoot out as required. Great work on the top placing.Jordi Bejar - Necrons (Awakened Dynasty) - 3rd Place

Warrior Brick AwakenedThoughts
A meta staple continues to thrive- Warrior bricks stat check the unwary, and C'tan stat check in a different way! Loads to like in this build. Fantastic work on the top placing.Floof Cox - Adeptus Mechanicus (Eradication Cohort) - 4th Place

Eradication Ad MechThoughts
A very gunline-esque take on the new Eradication Cohort. This takes Chickens and Disintegrators up and makes them even more deadly, with plenty of MSU and scoring out ahead. The Servitor Battleclase MSU is great - these are just SO annoying to shift at 60 points, and help force overcommitment. I understand that Floof will be writing us a subscriber-only write up on this very soon, keep an eye out for it ;)The Best of the Rest
There were 7 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 5th - Forrest Phanton - Space Wolves (Saga of the Beastslayer): Double Terminator brick in Saga.

Pactbound with DefilersThoughts
An early sign of things to come with a Defiler heavy Pactbound list. These take the Crit 5s and Nurgle Lone Op strat very well - and Abaddon takes them into the stratosphere. Huron gives you non-interactive mission play on top for a very brutal and effective package. If it loses key pieces early it can snowball, but armies will hate trying to engage the Defilers with the Overwatch they can offer here! Great work on the event win.The Best of the Rest
There were 7 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 2nd - Rees Darvill - Imperial Knights (Freeblade Lance): Lots of big Knights and some Armigers in Freeblade.

Doombolt GrizzledThoughts
Another triumph for the 'Doombolt' version of Grizzled, which showers mortal wounds onto big stuff via the Engineers and Kasrkin and follows up with Scions striking from reserves. Grizzled has taken some nerfs but still packs a massive punch and can play an exceptional OC game on top via the bricks of infantry. Still one of the armies to beat! Great work on the event win.The Best of the Rest
There were 5 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 2nd - Thomas Hindle - T'au Empire (Kauyon): A Kauyon list that packs the Twin Lance in with Crisis Teams and Skyrays.

- 5th - Zack Stevens - Aeldari (Corsair Coterie): Phoenix Lords and Fire Prisms backing lots of Corsair antics in Coterie.

Take and Hold - Tipping Point
Michele Forgione - Space Marines (Astartes) (Firestorm Assault Force)vs.
michael pacunas - Tyranids (Invasion Fleet)
Thoughts
A match up that ended up far closer than I'd have guessed at first! I watched the early 10th starter box test games at Warhammer fest, and by god did the Infernus Marines enjoy bodying the Termagants over and over. The Invasion Fleet list here has a few things going for it though - it packs massive damage into Marine bodies via the Genestealer bricks, and with the 5+++ it can make the full 20 man units of Terms just stodgy enough to introduce the risk they survive to regrow. For the Salamanders, they have plenty of transports and OC but Nid battleshocks can occasionally render these useless, and the overall output in the list is definitely lower than some I have seen. They are vulnerable to any spikes from the Exos or Genestealers and have to slow grow into the match up - if Shadows catches them at a particularly vulnerable moment, the scoring will smooth right out. I'm guessing that is what happened here, with the Sons of Vulkan only just carrying the day! What a game!!

SalamandersThoughts
Salamanders continue to quietly excel as one of the 'not Ultramarines' options in the game at the moment. You can pile on damage and dev wounds with flamers and you have a deceptively vicious OC game that can lock chunks of the board out from a large number of armies. Being a bit less well understood never hurts either! Fantastic work on the event win.The Best of the Rest
There were 5 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 2nd - Phillip French - Dark Angels (Gladius Task Force): Thunderstrikes and Inner Circle Companions in DA Gladius.
