Age of Sigmar 3.0 FAQ: Flesh Eater Courts

The Good

• Muster ability is clarified to be 6 dice PER Courtier. FEC is an army that relies heavily on the ability of their heroes to summon back-up. This clarification makes it more clear of how the ability works, but this is fairly unchanged so it really just helps against pesky TOs or rules lawyers. 
• Ruler of All He Surveys Clarification. This, again, was fairly easy to parse from rules as written and how FEC have played in the past, but the FAQ making it clearer that ANY number of Archregents and Ghoul Kings can use Ruler of All He Surveys, that means a lot of units are going to suddenly hit the field for free. 
• Royal Family updated. This Warscroll Battalion may be attractive, based on how you can afford it. The Battallion is now 1 Abhorrant Archregent OR 1 Abhorrant Ghoul King on a Terrorgheist OR a Zombie Dragon AND 2-6 unmounted Ghoul Kings. If you summoned nothing but Serf keyword units, by the way, and took a maximum number of units for this battalion, you’d be putting 80 Ghouls out on the field, for free, on your first turn. Just food for thought here. 

The Bad

• Flesh Eater Courts are getting dated. There really aren’t any BAD changes here, but the age of the range and the tome remains. This entire FAQ is mostly about how Summon abilities for FEC work and in relation to the Throne terrain. This is not a huge shift from how the army worked in 2nd Ed., and generally means the strengths and weaknesses of FEC are mostly the same.

The Ugly

• FEC models. But we love them all the same.
