Ultramarines GoodstuffThoughts
A send off for the Ultramarines build as we know it - old school Calgar, two nasty bricks of Victrix, a wound traps worth of Wardens of Ultramar, and then dealer's choice of supporting guns - in this case Redemptors, a Rep Ex, and Vindicators. I really rate Redemptors and they help lock out damage 2 melee armies - not as prevalent as they were, but definitely a decent chunk of the field. The list plays terrific fundamental 40k, and shoots harder than most others in the game. Excellent work on the event win.Antonín Man - Deathwatch (Black Spear Task Force) - 2nd Place (Undefeated)

Deathwatch Kill TeamsThoughts
Deathwatch continue to rise, able to isolate and delete stat-check builds a chunk at a time whilst removing scoring with their new Desolators in Kill Teams tech. An absence of melee pressure helps the Deathwatch greatly - they are vulnerable to being run down. This list brings a bit of insurance for that by plugging in a Judiciar- these are very useful for the army to mitigate it's one major weakness and make for a great Ingress Intervention unit. Fantastic work on the top placing!Luis Stiemerling - Chaos Knights (Infernal Lance) - 3rd Place

Always be GatlingThoughts
Gatlings and Dogs, eh. Still doing the business. The meta is certainly less kind to the Gatling CK than it used to be - but ultimately, Infernal Lance has so much on the board, and packs so much speed and punch. You'll note that the less 'useful' outer layer units - Beasts of Nurlge etc- have been cut back here in order to prioritise punchy Karnivore damage- these can help you go toe-to-toe with the pesky C'tan, and open up Land Raiders or Repulsors so the Gatlings can get to work. Excellent adjustments.Sam Nowrouzi - Necrons (Canoptek Court) - 4th Place

Somehow, Canoptek Court ReturnedThoughts
Canoptek Court boasts an excellent toolkit for doing battle at range- Lone Op 18 nonsense, strong overwatch control lanes, and high levels of efficiency on the cheap Doomstalker platforms. It allows you to get more scoring in alongside the C'tan and Wraiths, because you aren't paying the top dollar you do for DDAs. Expect this build to grow in popularity rather soon...The Best of the Rest
There were 12 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 5th - Jan Tlustý - Death Guard (Virulent Vectorium): Morty, double Plague Marine brick, and a shower of drones.
- 6th - Adam Addlein Lebeda - Necrons (Awakened Dynasty): Awakened character spam with DDAs and a Wraith brick.
- 7th - Lukáš Tölg - Chaos Space Marines (Huron’s Marauders): Abaddon leads a fairly MSU CSM build with Noise Marines and Raptors.

- 9th - Christian Stromberger - Necrons (Pantheon of Woe): C'tan spam.

Ultramarines GoodstuffThoughts
Look man, I don't have to pretend Ultramarines are interesting every time they pop up. This list taps into the double Doctrine power of Blades rather than the wider toolkit of Gladius. Other than that, it's the blue guys with the good rules, here to ruin your day. Fantastic work on the event win.Brent Simon - Necrons (Starshatter Arsenal) - 2nd Place (Undefeated)

Starshatter GoodstuffThoughts
Look, I don't have to pretend Starshatter Arsenal is interesting every time it pops up. This list is an absolute greatest hits of what makes Necrons so strong at the moment - brutal high damage, high durability centre pieces all over the board as excellent DDA shooting plugs away behind. Bounce even a little, and you're getting run over. Fantastic work on the event win.The Best of the Rest
There were 5 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 3rd - Lewis Hersman - Imperial Knights (Questoris Companions): Five bigs - double Crusader, Canis, and a stomping good time had.

- 5th - Douglas Labov - World Eaters (Vessels of Wrath): Vessels with Angron, Daemon Princes and Eightbound.

- 7th - Brandon Westfall - Necrons (Starshatter Arsenal): Silent King / DDA Starshatter.

Joyous InnovationThoughts
Ferran - I love you. In a meta defined by an increasing familiarity of the top builds, you've won a fricking GT not only with an army that is struggling, but with a unique build in one of the lesser played detachments. You are my actual hero. I love Peerless Bladesmen - this detachment doesn't have the high damage of fully buffed Coterie, but it can put SUSTAINED or LETHAL hits where it needs it without needing to jump through hoops. Full Fight on Death, a chase strat, and an excellent enhancement suite (the Distortion Exultant absolutely slays). You can even move away from the Daemon Princes and pack in Fulgrim / Maulerfiend instead! This list is amazing, and taking down an event with it is a genuinely epic feat. Great work. The Best of the Rest
There were 6 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 2nd - Manel Tulla - Space Marines (Astartes) (Gladius Task Force): Ultramarines goodstuff.
- 3rd - Pepe Andreu - Astra Militarum (Recon Element): Recon guard horde.
- 4th - Daniel HUMBOLCH - Deathwatch (Black Spear Task Force): Double Fortis and Indomitor Kill Teams with melee Kill Teams out ahead.
- 5th - hector sola arroyo - Orks (War Horde): All-in melee pressure War Horde with a Kill Rig, because these are cool.
- 6th - David Lozano - World Eaters (Berzerker Warband): Eightbound heavy Warband with some Forgefiends.
- 7th - Eric Ramentol - Necrons (Starshatter Arsenal): C'tan / Silent King / DDA Starshatter.
Trash-Events GT #6

Take and Hold - Hammer and Anvil
Charles Cloutier - Aeldari (Seer Council)vs.
Quentin Bois - World Eaters (Berzerker Warband)
Thoughts
A very real contrast in styles here, as the patient, slow burn of Seer Council meets the decidedly impatient bloodlust of the World Eaters. The Elves are packing massed volume - Warlocks, Hawks, and the Ignores Cover strat in Seer all help punch through hard targets, and Eldrad can hand out +1 to wound to bring down bigger prey. Fuegan and a five man gives you a nice delete option for when that doesn't work. Seer Council can be vulnerable to pressure, and the full 10 Banshees with Jain helps alleviate that. But is it enough to hold off the World Eaters?Spawn and Eightbound can reach out and do quite horrible damage and tagging to the Eldar in the early game here, and the 6 inch pile in and consolidate can cause some significant issues with screening attempts as well. Seer Council has some outs - the Battle-shock strat can blow open a surge based game plan, and the Torc relic can shut down interrrupts and interventions at a key moment too. That said, Elves are always on a knife edge against armies like World Eaters. Slip, and, well, it's a knife innit, you're gonna bleed.

Angron WarbandThoughts
Go fast, hit things. It's not been the meta for World Eaters of late, so seeing Angron leading his boys to victory warms my heart. Angron can slap down hard targets, and the heavier use of Eightbound also contributes to cracking open durability spam lists too. Otherwise, it's vintage Warband - create unreasonable pressure and white knuckle to victory. Amazing work on the event win!The Best of the Rest
There were 4 more players on 4-1 records. They were:- 2nd - Maxime Rampen - Chaos Space Marines (Pactbound Zealots): Old school Abby castle Pactbound with triple Obliterators.
- 3rd - Sabrina Savoie-Lapierre - Adeptus Custodes (Lions of the Emperor): Lions infantry spam.
- 4th - Dominique Carette - Blood Angels (Rage-cursed Onslaught): A big brick of Assault Centurions alongside the usual suspects.
- 5th - Steve Gagne - Adeptus Custodes (Lions of the Emperor): More Guard and Allarus spam in Lions.
Wrap Up
There you have it folks! The meta rumbles on - plenty of Chaos factions creeping in amidst the Marines and Necrons, but other Xenos seem a little bit on the run at the moment. Awesome to see a whole range of detachments making those higher placings though! Not long til even more reinforcements enter the fray to shake things up...have fun out there!
Lowest of Men, out.
