The Week Ending May 16th, 2020

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Warhammer digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed. Here’s what we liked this week:

In the Wild

• A Scale Imperator Titan @ATT64 via Twitter We think this broke out of the realm of "miniatures" at some point but this 9 foot-tall titan project is just insanely cool and we're excited to see it when it's finished.
• Lady Kali, Vampire Queen @pegastyx via Twitter This is a very cool conversion of the Yncarne and the blood effect on the swirling energy is inspired.
• Baz Watkins' Constantin Valdor Conversion
  @baz_watkins via Twitter
  I tend to agree that the Forge World Valdor model is too busy and Baz's custom Valdor is much more elegant. The green stuff work he's done on this model is just insane.
• Reanimation Protocol Activated smol_cyclist via r/Warhammer40k This is a really cool idea and it creates a stunning visual effect.
• A Bunch of Old White Dwarf Art  @Wibdoestweets via Twitter Wib collects a bunch of really cool old White Dwarf art showing Judge Dredd-style space marines and guard. It's always crazy interesting to see how the current 40k aesthetic was birthed from these older illustrations.
• TryHardHat's Borderlands-style Rukkatrukk Squig Buggy TryHardHat via r/Warhammer40k The Borderlands aesthetic really works well on ork vehicles, and we like the work that THH has done here to add extra sketch lines and marks. It's visually Borderlands without going overboard on the outlines.
• The NICE MARINES RPG @jshowitt via Twitter Play a force of Space Marines dedicated to keeping the peace on a liberated world. Be nice to civilians! Hold parades! Lift heavy objects! Make the place respectable for the Imperial inspectors soon to arrive.
• Geckilian's Rogue Trader Marines Project @geckilian via Twitter OK so for whatever reason people were on a big rogue trader marines kick this week. This army kicks ass and I love the addition of the ridgerunner to show
• SCBullen's Night Lords Venomcrawler @SCBullen via r/Warhammer40k The way SCB did the freehand wing on the body of this Venomcrawler is really cool.
• Chris Burwood's Imperial Pub @BurwoodChris via Twitter The Rusted Cog is maybe the coolest use I've seen for Munitorum Armored Containers and a lovely piece of 40k terrain.

On Goonhammer

• Ruleshammer: Age of Sigmar Edition by RagnarokAngel We took a path down the Age of Sigmar route this week, looking at "within" language for Age of Sigmar and a few other common rules questions.
• Hammer of Math: Xenos Purging and You By Kevin Genson Kevin talked about the new Deathwatch rules this week and how to pick your special issue ammunition.
• Boardhammer: The Rise and Fall of Anvalor By TheChirurgeon This week we talked about WizKids' Warhammer: Age of Sigmar The Rise and Fall of Anvalor, a game about building and protecting a city and gaining influence.

• Necromunday: Guild Alliances By Dan “SexCannon” Boyd and Merton The boys talk about guild alliances.
• How to Paint Everything: Necrons Various Authors As we start seeing previews for sweet new Necron models, now's a good time to talk about how to paint them!
