Hot Take: Wazdakka Gutsmek Datasheet

by Liam "Corrode" Royle | Apr 14 2026

Roaring right out of 4th edition, here comes Wazdakka, the Speediest Freek. As soon as I saw the model I coveted it - one of my favourite things GW have released for years.

Wazdakka is a solo piece - he doesn’t lead anything. Presumably the ‘uvver gitz can’t keep up with his 14” Movement. As a Lone Operative with T8, 3+/4++, and 10 Wounds, he’s just fine running (or riding) around on his own, especially with Fixit restoring D3 lost wounds in your Command phase. Fixit adds a melee attack you will almost certainly forget about, too, since you’ll be busy smacking things with the grabba dragga and its 3 Damage, and the other extra attacks weapon, which is literally just the bike being so big and blasting out so much heat from the exhaust that it gets a melee profile.

The grabba dragga has a shooting profile too, with the rarity in Orks that it hits on a 2+, and is similarly S10 AP-2 D3 - and also PRECISION for some reason. Meanwhile the psyko-gatler only hits on a 4+, but pumps out 12 shots at S6 AP-2 D2. Both guns have ASSAULT, too, so you can be Advancing him around and still getting the full effect - which is helpful for his other datasheet ability, Throttlerokkit Shokka Engine. This is a pick 1 of 3 ability similar to Yarrick or a Primarch’s, selected in your Command phase.

Your options are either Turbo Engine, allowing you to charge after Advance or Fall Back moves, Shokk Attack Engine, which lets you put Wazdakka into Strategic Reserves as long as he’s not in Engagement Range, or Pulse Jet, which means he auto-Advances 6” and can move through models and terrain features when doing so. Shokk Attack Engine is enhanced by having Deep Strike on his datasheet too, as it means you always have the option to just sling him around the table if needed. That said, you often won’t need to, since you can just default to moving him 20” through whatever terrain or models you want.

One final rule is Waaagh! Wazdakka, which allows you to make Warbiker units BATTLELINE if Wazdakka is your Warlord, harkening back to that 4th edition codex when he made bikes Troops. Chances are you’re not trying to spam 6 units of bikes, but it’s nice that the option exists.

Interestingly he has both the MOUNTED and VEHICLE keywords, which to my knowledge is unique in the game. Mostly this has the fairly annoying effect of meaning ANTI-VEHICLE stuff works against him and that he cannot Heroic Intervention, because he is not a Walker, though it does also mean that he can Tank Shock. He also has SMOKE, just in case.

I’m putting him in every list.
